Honor Flight veterans return to Fargo from Washington, DC

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – They may be a little tired, but about 100 veterans from our region will never forget their Honor Flight trip to Washington, DC.

The flight landed at Héctor International Airport shortly after 7 p.m.

People filled the terminal to welcome the 103 veterans along with dozens of volunteers who helped keep the ride going.

This group spent three days in our nation’s capital to see all the monuments in his honor.

The trip included two “Flags of Our Heroes” ceremonies at the Korean and Vietnam War Memorials.

They also witnessed the changing of the guard at Arlington Cemetery and much more.

The North Dakota/Minnesota Veterans Honor Flight plans to fill two flights with veterans by the end of September.
