One dead and two wounded in North Memphis shooting, police say | News

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person was killed and two others were injured after a shooting in north Memphis Saturday night, police said.

Memphis Police responded to a shooting call in the 800 block of Hawthorne Street at 8:38 p.m.

According to police, when they arrived at the scene they found three people with gunshot wounds.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other people were taken to the hospital and one was in critical condition, police said.

Police reported that preliminary information suggested the suspects and victims knew each other.
