OG&E crews deployed to assist with severe storms in Houston

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – OG&E deployed crews to Houston this weekend to assist with power restoration after severe storms and high winds left hundreds of thousands of people in Houston without power Thursday.

OG&E trucks carrying line equipment and support personnel departed Moore, Oklahoma, early this morning. More than 100 OG&E employees will travel to Houston to assist with restoration.

Crews are typically deployed for about two weeks.

If more help is needed, OG&E will send more equipment.

OG&E said daily operations in its service area will not be affected.
