Woman stabbed outside busy school during drop-off: man arrested



A woman was stabbed outside a busy elementary school during back-to-school time as police arrested a man.

Bedfordshire Police confirmed that a victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries following an attack near a school in Dunstable Road, Luton, shortly after 8.30am this morning.

All the children were said to be safe at the school, which the force did not name, but officers will remain in the area for added reassurance.

Police issued a statement saying: “Bedfordshire Police are investigating the stabbing of a woman near a school in Dunstable Road, Luton, shortly after 8.30am this morning.

‘The victim has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. A man has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

‘All children are safe within the school and there is no major threat to the public. The police will maintain a strong presence in the area for greater peace of mind.
