Pennsylvania Attorney General Concerned About Red Lobster Gift Cards Amid Sudden Closings

Pennsylvania Consumers Advised About Red Lobster Closings, Impact of Bankruptcy

HARRISBURG, PA – Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry raised awareness among Pennsylvania consumers about the potential consequences of Red Lobster restaurant closures and the chain’s bankruptcy filing.

While the current closures have primarily affected restaurants in other states, the closure of an Erie location was reported on Red Lobster’s website.

This situation may have implications for consumers’ ability to use unused Red Lobster rewards, loyalty points, coupons and gift cards. Attorney General Henry recommends that consumers monitor the Red Lobster website for updates on the status of their local Red Lobster and possible future closures.

“Consumers who have unused rewards, loyalty points, and gift cards should consider using them immediately,” Attorney General Henry advised.

If consumers are having difficulty redeeming their Red Lobster rewards during their local restaurant’s business hours, they can contact the Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Protection at 1-800-441-2555.
