DC Police: Man arrested in connection with Northeast shooting

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) –– The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Northeast on Sunday afternoon.

MPD said that on Sunday around 2:10 p.m., they responded to the 3800 block of Jay Street for a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, MPD arrested and charged Antonio Lucas, 46, of Northwest, DC, with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun).
