Columbus, Ohio – Week after week, Buckeye student-athletes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether in competition, in the classroom or in the community. ‘Buckeye Spotlight’ recognizes student-athletes who have made notable achievements both in competition and beyond scoring.

2V4 | Rowing

  • Ohio State’s second varsity four team won its race at the Big Ten Championship on Sunday in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
  • Victory is 56.th Big Ten Boat Individual Championship in Ohio State History
  • The victory helped the Buckeyes take fourth place in the 2024 league championships.
  • The winning team consisted of Madalena Hughes (c), Alexandra Gluntz (s), Morgan Perce (3), Morgan Miller (2) and Kira Katterle (b).

Kingsley Cannon and Jack Anthrop | Men’s tennis | Mr. and then. | Northport, New York and Orlando, Florida.

  • Cannon and Jack went 3-1 in their four matches at the NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma, last week.
  • Together as a doubles pair, they won both of their matches against Columbia and TCU, helping the Buckeyes secure the doubles point in each match.
  • They were named to the NCAA Tournament All-Tournament Team at No. 3 in doubles.
  • Both players are now competing in the NCAA Individual Championships and both won their first round matches on Monday.

Ohio State baseball team

  • The Ohio State baseball team clinched a spot in the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2019 after winning its series at Rutgers over the weekend.
  • The Buckeyes enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will face No. 2 Nebraska in the first round on Tuesday, May 21.
  • This is the first Big Ten Tournament for head coach Bill Mosiello.
