Texas A&M Aggies take 2 of 3 from Arkansas to secure bye in SEC Baseball Tournament

No. 5 Texas A&M entered this weekend a little down, having lost back-to-back SEC road series to LSU and Ole Miss. But the Aggies continued the dominant play at home to right the ship, winning two of three games from No. 3 Arkansas to conclude the regular season.

Of course, Arkansas won the SEC West with a victory in Game 2 on Friday, but the Aggies achieved their most important goals: getting back on the winning side of a series heading into the postseason, securing a bye in the SEC Tournament and secure their position as a national seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The SEC Tournament begins Tuesday and the Aggies’ first game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, facing the winner of the matchup between the 5/12 seeds.
