Larry A. Cavallaro Obituary – Phoenix, AZ

Larry A. Cavallaro, age 63, son of Antonio E. and Nancy D. Cavallaro (both deceased) of Mentor, OH, passed away on 04/20/24 in Phoenix, AZ at St. Joseph Hospital. Larry is survived by his son Lucas (Nicole) and granddaughters Beau and Devin, his sisters Dorothy and Linda (Harold) and his brothers Mike (Tina), Tony (Paula) and Patrick, his nephew Richard (Amanda), his nieces Dana and Heather. (Justin), Chris Tina and his great-nephews Donovan, Calvin and his great-nieces Alexa, Remi and Micah. Larry was born in Euclid but grew up in Mentor and then moved to Phoenix, AZ in the 1980s. Larry was a senior rigger for concert sets and movie scenes, camera rigging, and stunt driver and driver, both automobile and of motorcycles, for the entertainment and film industry. He was a member of IATSE Local Union 336. He became responsible for writing and implementing safety standards and protocols for the industry that are still used today. He was the BEST of the BEST and his colleagues remembered him fondly. He started working in the business in the early 80’s and only left a few years ago due to a back injury he suffered in the industry he loved so much! Larry was a great brother who taught his older and younger brothers primarily through his actions not so much his words. He taught us all that through hard work and dedication you can and will succeed. He loved cars, gardening, and most of all, his family! Larry was a great man, a great brother and a great father and he will be greatly missed by all. As they say in the movie business, THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!Good night Larry, we love you!
