Two people have non-life-threatening injuries after small plane crash near Uxbridge: police

Durham Regional Police officers say two people have non-life-threatening injuries after a plane crashed in a field near Uxbridge Saturday morning.

CityNews received reports that the small plane ended up in a field near Highway 12 and Durham Regional Highway 47.

A police spokesperson told CityNews that emergency crews were called to the scene at around 10:30am.

The representative said two people were able to get off the plane and that both were in non-life-threatening conditions.

The circumstances leading up to the accident were not immediately clear.

The police spokesman said that Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) was notified and added that agency investigators would be investigating the accident.

CityNews contacted the TSB for comment, but a spokesperson was not immediately available.
